Got EC 'Sticker' and questions...

Post by ubugger » Wed Feb 06, 2008 6:06 am

Well, I finally have everything done! All approved. Funny thing is that I don't have a 'stamp' on the passport it's a 1 page sticker with my photo on it and all!
2 questions:
It doesn't say "Allowed to work" or anything on it - should it? It just has "Highly Skilled Migrant Programme" or "Highly Skilled Migrant Dependant" for my wife....
Also I have "0" Dependants listed on my sticker - Is that for children only - or should my Wife be listed there??

For interest of others, I applied with:
Application forms for both of us
Passports
Marriage Certificate
Letter agreeing to sponser my wife
6mths of Bank Statements - And an explanation for any large deposits (they wouldn't accept evidence for this either!)
HSMP approval letter (no supporting docs, they refused to accept them!)

That's it!

And it took about 3wks...

no. of dependent is zero in my passport too. in some another thread it is said that if wife has no separate passport then and then in applicant passport dependent is mentioned as 1. in our cases wife has separate passports so nil dependent. not knowing about your another query.

Hi

1. You dont need to be written 'work allowed' on the entery clearence stiker.
2. Your wife is issued a seperate stiker as HSMP dependen t on her passport.
3. Zero is mentioned for dependent travelling on the same passport where stiker is issued. So Nothing to worry about.

Good Luck
