Ooops! Initial application sent at wrong address !!!!!!!!!!!

Post by zhassan » Wed Feb 06, 2008 10:55 am

Hi All,
As I was getting through the HSMP guidelines, I realised that I have couriered my application and documents at wrong (FLR) address from OZ.

Border and Immigration Agency – FLR (HSMP)
PO Box 3976
Sheffield
S1 9BN

How much delay I can expect in the processing of my application? Any idea?

Please respond.

Regards,
Zia-ul-Hassan :(

Why dont u ask the courier service to not todeliver the package and return it to the sender... I think it is possible (even though they charge for it) as long as its not been delivered yet...
Thanks...

I can follow up with Courier (Australia Post) tomorrow as they are closed at the moment. I am not 100% sure whether I would be able to change the address if the documents are not delivered yet.

Is there anyone having such weired experience. I am really concerned about my documents now. It's my fault as initial intention was to send documents to UK to my brother-in-law first and then he might send the application locally to HSMP team, for which address was correct.
But at eleventh hour I changed my mind to send directly to HSMP team with same address, but for courier the address is different. However I gave my brother-in-lasw's address as my contact in UK.Will that make any difference?

Don't know what will happen next.

All sorted out. Since the consinement is still in transit , I rang courier and advised that address is partially wrong.

The courier advised me to fax a cover letter explaining the issue and copy of Electronic bill (customer copy). IThe courier will fax the same letter to recipient courier in UK and follow up as it's signed trackable delivery. And hopwfully documents will be delivered at correct address.

HTH who responded and good luck to all.

Cheers,
Zia-ul-Hassan

Usually couriers cant deliver to any post box. So anyway that courier cant deliver it they have to return it back to you
