H1 B - New Financial Year!

Post by desperado » Fri Feb 08, 2008 2:21 pm

Hello,

Do you know when does the next quota for US H1-B Visa for Fiscal Year 2009 begins? Also when will I be able to travel to US if I get the H1-B Visa for Fiscal Year 2009?

Say for example: Visa Quota begins on April 2008. I apply in April 2008 and get a visa in November 2008. Will I be able to travel Jan 2009 or will I only be able to travel October 2009?

Please let me know.

I'm a British Citizen and I would like to work as Contractor/Consultant in the US. How can I go about that? Do I have to find a company who could sponsor me H1-B and then I work for his clients? How does it work?

How can I work in the US as contractor/consultant?

I run my own limited company in the UK. can I apply for business visa to US from my limited company and then work as consultant? Say I want to promote a product to clients in the US, can I do that? How long is the business visa valid for?

Please let me know.
