help about my visa past..

Hi! I have a question that is stressing me out a little.

I am 21 years old and live in Europe. When I was 13 my dad (parents were divorced) wanted to move to the US and asked me to go with him. I was a kid, thought 'wow, cool!' and went with him. We got in with just a tourist visa and he said he would handle this. He did not work (saved money) but I did go to school immediatly. We signed up for a public school and I just went. After three months we went on a cruise to the bahamas. My dad said it was for something about the visa's. Appearantly, if we went to the bahamas for a couple of days, we would go back and when entering we could stay another 3 months. So that happened. Again, after three months, we went to the bahamas. Again we got the visa, but I remember the man at the counter saying 'oh, I see what you are doing. Don't do that anymore..' (he said that in a friendly, advice, voice).

During my stay I went to school. We had a field trip, and the stupid teenager I was, I stole something with my friends (peer pressure, you know how it goes) and we got cought. Police was involved, but I had no ID with me and after our teachers talked with them they didn't follow it up or anything and let the school handle it (I got expelled.)

After about 2 months I returned to europe, my mom flew over to pick me up. My dad had to stay to finish some stuff. After a while I got a phone call that my dad was just about to leave to europe and the police came to pick him up and he was in jail for some weeks, supposedly had something to do with the visa stuff (but he left later, I left during my visa)

Now, the point of my story: I am 21, adult, this all happened when I was 13 (this was all before 9/11). Me and some friends want to og to New York next summer. I am kind of stressing out because, thinking back, I know I was a kid and all, but what if that stuff could give me problems? What if they don't let me into the country, or even worse - jail? I know I might sound stupid. But could this visa-bahamas stuff be a problem? what about the stealing part? Please tell me what I can do.

Oh also, I remember we got insured there. I don't know how that will help.
