Pbs dependant or dependant of a settled person?

Post by silvani » Tue Jan 31, 2017 1:03 am

Hello Admins and Moderators,

I have ILR based on Tier 2 general work permit. I got it last 2015. My husband arrived in UK as my dependant last January 2013 as Tier 2 general dependant ( that time i was still on tier 2 work visa). Approximately 2 months after I got my ILR, he received letter from HO stating that he got 60 days to change his status. Straight away, he applied on a premium service and got PBS dependant visa. He went for holiday last month and came back today but the immigration officer at Gatwick says he needs to change his visa to a DEPENDANT OF A SETTLED PERSON when my husband mentioned that I got ILR when asked what is my status. Does my husband have the right visa at the moment? Thank you so much in advance.

I believe that the Immigration Officer was mistaken.

Thank you Vinny. I thought so too. When he will apply for his ILR on January 2018, there shouldn't be any problem isn't it? We are plaanning for him to get a premium service. He just got worried when he had to sit and wait in the corner while the immigration officer asked his superior about his case.
