What to tell the Border Control officer?

Post by taaadaaa » Thu Feb 02, 2017 3:51 pm

I am on Tier 2 General, changing jobs with the same employer and with in the same SOC code, so I understand that no new CoS application needs to be submitted but instead my employer needs to update my records on SMS - sponsorship management system.

Now my question is, next time when i go on a holiday and re-enter UK, what do i tell the border control officer at the immigration counter? If I tell them about my new job title, will they have the new information about my job, which was submitted on SMS? Or will they be surprised and I will be asked to wait and go through the tiring process of explaining them? What sort of risk could i be exposed to.

Would really appreciate advice from members who have changed the jobs within the same SOC codes/employer and know a bit more about their experience of re-entering the UK.

Thanks
