Moving to Europe, help required!!

Post by Jamo » Tue Feb 12, 2008 1:39 pm

Hi,

I am a South African citizen, last year April I married a Swedish Citizen. We are now planning on moving to the Netherlands.
She is going to complete her studies and I will be working. The fact that I am married to an EU national, does that give me any beneift?
Do I still need to apply for a work VISA before going?
It is my intention to hopefully find a job before I leave SA, however if I dont, will I have any problems entering the Netherlands?

Yes.

No.

No, if you enter as the spouse of an EEA Citizen your right to be there, and work, derives from your partner and your relationship to them.
