Very good find, because I haven't heard for a long time on any update on LTR:

Thanks for replies (sp. thanks to srini)
I applied it in July 2006.
i am not sure why they are looking for PCC.(could be because my passport is full of stamps from different countries...??!!)

the letter states

To enable this Division further process your application, the following details are now required:

1. A Current Police Clearance Certificate (with a certified translation if not in English) from your country of origin and any other country in which you resided prior to comming to Ireland
2. Please also indicate whether you have ever been convicted in this state or in any other country in which you resided prior to coming to Ireland

So i need to get Police clearance from Indian embassy.

if anyone submitted PCC to get LTR, please share your experience.

Thanks

Dear Friends,

For all those who are waiting for LTR, here is some useful information. I got LTR approved last week, after a long wait of 17 Months. So, don't woory processing is bit /very (?) slow....but they are issuing LTR. I saw some postings enquiring whether the LTR is issued or not...

I have been legally living in Ireland since 2001 and have applied for Long-Term Residency to Dept of Justice, Equality and Law Reforms. I received a letter from Dept asking for below:

1. A Police Clearance Certificate from my country of Origin (is Police Clearance Certificate issued by Indian Embassy in Dublin valid),

2. Indicate whether I have ever been convicted of a criminal offence in this State or in any other country prior to coming to Ireland (what do I produce to prove that I don't have any Criminal Offences against me).

Please share your experience/Info in this matter.....

Regards,
Alex.
