Hi. I recently applied to extend my tier 2 general visa. Unfortunately, I did an error on the online application form and realised it just after confirming and paying the fees. I know this is a lame mistake but I did a mistake but it's all too late. I overlooked one of the options and ticked the wrong one. I re applied for a new application since my visa expiry date is nearing. I phoned Home office several times, some would say yes i could ask for a refund some said no i can't. One person mentioned that i could mail the charge and support department in Sheffield and explain my side and try to ask for a refund. I tried mailing them but it has been 3 weeks and I havent got any reply. I am aware that in their website refunds on application made here in the UK cannot be refunded but I have a coullegue who made a mistake on his online application and was able to refund. (I asked him how he managed to get one and said he just emailed some technical support email address of the ukvi and begged to help him. I tried his way but I did not managed to get any help at all) I am just wondering if someone had the same case or someonw can advice me on what to do. Anyway, the wrong application did not had any progress at all, I immediately reapplied and pay for a new one as soon as I realised it and it says on their site that the current application made will be the outstanding one and the previous application will be nullified. I am really desperate and hopeless on what to do. I hope you can help me.
