Incorrect Passport Issue Date in Surrender Certificate

Hi All,

I got Surrender Certificate of Indian passport but unfortunately the date of issue of UK passport is incorrect(both issue date of old Indian passport and British passport are same).
Should I go ahead and apply for OCI or write to them to get it corrected? Any suggestions please?
