Spouse Visa Help

Post by nkiru » Tue Feb 26, 2008 2:45 pm

Hi,
I would like some advise please. what do i need to show to satisfy the accomodation rule. I am the sponsor but live at home with parents . The property is rented from the local authority and although I have my own room. I doubt I'll be able to get a letter from the Council. My sister owns her house and is willing to write a letter that myself and my husband can stay there while we look for a place to buy.

I am able to show a savings of £30k. Will that satisfy the ECO that it is a temporary situation. What should my sister's letter include and what proof does she need to include. Will it be better if we have a 'formal' tenancy agreement she doesn't really want me to pay her rent. the idea is that me and my husband will look purchase a property together once the visa is granted.
