yes, but you dont have to say did you overstay or not. it is up to the immigration officer to prove that if you did or did not overstay, they have to come up with the proof. if your friend is worrying about that, he or she can ask the canadian immigration give him or her a record of arrival back to canada, but again, it is up to the canadian immigration to give him or her the record of it. plus the other best proof is the airline ticket. tell your friend to keep the boarding pass and luggage receipt from the airline. if he or she never travelled back to canada. he or she will never had the boarding pass and luggage check-in recepit from the airline, isnt it?ca.funke wrote:unfortunately this strategy won't work in all cases:
