Hi all,
I have been going through different topics but haven't found the exact answers for my situation, so I would like to ask further questions when changing employers.
I have a Tier 2 visa valid till 19 Jan 2019. I received a job offer and my new employer is looking to issue a new CoS for me. We agreed that my starting date will Feb 18th of Sep 2017. My notice period is 3 months but my line manager agreed that it could be shorter.
Since it is advised not leave current job before get a new visa, I am planning to resign from my current job after I receive my new visa and then serve notice period till 18th of Sep.
There is another issue. I have a business trip scheduled 25-29 June 2017. So I am thinking about following dates and was wondering if someone could confirm if this is feasible:
1. Current Tier 2 visa valid till: 19 Jan 2019
2. New CoS from a new employer will be assigned in the next two weeks with starting date: 18 Sep 2017
and also they will answer Yes on the question Does the migrant need to leave and re-enter the UK during
the period of approval? Yes.
3. Does this mean that I will be able to travel 25-29 June with my current visa and the new CoS assigned?
4. I am planning to apply for a new visa with a Premium service on the 30th June.
5. If the visa is approved, I will send a resignation letter to my current employer, which means that I will
work for them till 18th of Sep (starting date in my new CoS) with my new visa.
Is this all possible?
Many thanks in advance,
Milana
