ILR application timing

Post by a8878219 » Sun Jun 11, 2017 12:16 pm

Hi all

I know this has been asked before because I have a crumpled note I wrote 2+ years ago, but I'm darned if I can find the post again! My wife is soon to apply for ILR under the 5 year route. This is the timeline:

- 5 Feb 2013 granted entry clearance (2yr 9mo validity)
- 13 Feb 2013 arrived in UK
- 2 Sep 2015 obtained FLR (residence permit valid until 30 Mar 2018)

So she will have been in the UK for 5 years continuous as of 5 Feb 2018.

The question, which I hope is simple is: what is the earliest we can/should apply for ILR? Does the 28 days I can see mentioned apply here, so early Jan 2018?

Thank you very much!

The earliest is 5 years minus 28 days, from the date of entry to the UK.
