Maintenance Funds Requirement

Post by shardendu_jha » Sun Mar 02, 2008 12:25 pm

Hi,
I am currently in UK and planning to apply for Tier I HSMP visa. I have all the papers required but only facing problem when showing the maintenance Funds related 800 GBP for the past 3 months. Actually, I have been transferring the funds to my wife's Savings account every month and therefore can not fulfill the 800 GBP minimum requirement from my personal account.

Can I show my wife's account statement with the application as I am also filing for her dependent visa along with my HSMP Tier I application?

Please suggest at the earliest. Thanks.

no you cannot. it is clearly mentioned in the tier1mainguidance.pdf that it has to be declaration from the applicat's name.

You can always show some bonds or longterm investment that you have done.

Note it could be a bank or the one below.

Letter from Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulated
financial institution confirming funds:

So, can I show either of the two maintenance funds:

1) My UK joint account with my wife which fulfills the 800 GBP maintenance requirement.

2) Indian investment equivalent to 800 GBP or more if I am applying on my Indian salary. Ex: National Savings Certificate (NSC) worth Rs. 1,00,000.
