ILR Question

Hi,
I came to UK in Sep 2001 as student, after completing my education, I started working a company here and have been on 5 year Work Permit since June 2007. It 10 years in Sep 2011 since I have been here, my question is

1. Can I make an application after Sep 2011 or should I prepare and send it couple of months in advance?
2. Would I have to get my WP extended as it would expire in June 2012?
3. If I am given ILR, do I still need my WP during neutralization period.
4. Can bring my Spouse from my home country before 2011?

4. You can bring ur spouse now! Dependant visa - she can work on it too for whoever she likes.

However, you might prefer to leave the missus at home, I understand, mate, those lap-dancing clubs are EVERYWHERE in the uk, even Leeds.......

You must not send us your application more than 28 days before the end of your qualifying period. If you do, we may refuse your application with no refund of the fee. However, you must make your application before your current permission to stay in the United Kingdom expires.

2. Your work permit must still be valid when you apply for ILR.

3. ILR holders do not require work permits.

See also Chapter 5 - Employment annexes > Annex F - Settlement guidance general. Under what category are you planning to apply for ILR? Dependants in the UK cannot be included under the Long Residence but may be included under work permit.
