FLRM processing times

Post by C.Radley » Fri Feb 29, 2008 1:28 pm

I'm a UK national and married my wife, who is Taiwanese, at the end of last year. We sent off her FLRM visa application end of January due to her fiancee visa expiring but we're curious about processing times.

The Border and Immigration website currently shows applications from last November are being processed despite the website supposedly being updated once a month. January also showed November.

Can anyone share their experiences in how long visa applications take to process as we're both keen for her to start working and start having a more normal life here. The website states 4 to 14 weeks but we've already received a call asking for confirmation of her address. Does this mean we can expect her visa back soon?

Thanks.
Chris

Send mine on the 8th of Feb, got confirmation letter saying they have received and assigned an immigration officer on the 11th. Still waiting.... mine supposed to be a straight forward one as well (I think).

Question, do they tell you they are/has send your passport back? I stupidly forgot to write down tracking number on the prepaid return special delivery envelope. :(
