concerning advertisement

Hi,

My new employer is going to apply for the new work permit, they advertised the job in the appropriate website for 3 weeks and no one applied for that.......please note that my area of expertise is structural engineering that used to be shortage occupation lists......

comments please.....

Hi,

I think websites are ok if your field is very specialised and your employer wouldn't be able to reach potential candidates by ads in the national papers. However, if there were no replies, then the question is whether it was the appropriate website.

Thanks Wanderer. In cases like that, it's up to his immigration consultant to make a good argument about why nobody applied and make sure that there is no problem with the HO.
