EEA Family Permit

Post by jordanting » Sun Aug 13, 2017 8:18 am

Hello, Just wanted to ask if I am qualified for this kind "way" to enter to the UK.
I am a Filipino and my same sex fiance is EU national but he is now in the UK working for over 5 years. I would like find answers if this permit is okay for us since the fee is minimal rarher than applying for Fiance Visa which costs about over a thousand pounds. We are not living together but he regularly visits me to the Ph and we have a wedding ceremony in Ph. Its is not legal anyway so this not having bearing with UK law.

There is no fiance visa under EU rules. In order to be family you have to already be married.

Hello physicskate,

We would like to try the "unmarried" EEA Family Permit if it is possible for us. We are not living together for 2 years but we can supply joint account and other proof that our relationship is existing and continuing.

It's unlikely that they will release EEA FP to unmarried couples that can not prove that they are living together for more than 2 years
