Spouse PEO ILR witheld including my passport

Hi all,

Hoping I can get some views into our situation. My Mrs applied for her ILR last week as my dependent(same day premium service). Her case was withheld and a 'pending further checks' letter was issued.

Complication is my Passport was also withheld. While we are happy to wait out a decision on her case I have urgent travel and am now stuck without a travel document. Any advise on how I could get my passport back? should I just ask them and hope they don't cancel the entire application?

Usually they would return the spouses originals as they are needed for visual checks only, why they felt they needed to withhold everything is a mystery.

Did you submit photocopies of your passport with the application? Also, did you try asking the personnel who handed you the 'pending further checks' letter about how you can get your passport back asap?

Apologies, I do not have answer to your question, but just trying to understand why they might have retained your passport.
