the solicitor making the WP application on behalf of employer. intially he agreed to make the application and the employer paid £1000 +Vat. another £190 for the WP cost. he was supposed to send the application on feb 1st week. now he is saying that the employer needs to advertise the post which he didnt mention in the beginning. the employer said he could have advertised the post on behalf of employer and get the details from the employer? can the solictor advertise the in the jobcentre plus on behalf of employer? pls provide any link regards to this pls

The employer has to advertise the job, conduct interviews, provide the details of all the candidates which have been interviewed till date and come up with a good excuse why he has not found a suitable candidate from within the EU...

Btw what position is this WP applied for?

many thanx oilsum. the employer is a nursing home owner. the candidate was a student . from student to Senior Health Care assistant WP. i dont think the solicitor is reliable.

To be fair, is it not the employer's duty to be aware of the terms before applying for a work permit?
