Can a dependent to HSMP go first to UK from his home country

I have a query ...
I am dependent to my spouse and we have got HSMP visa.
I got a job in UK recently and we are in our Home country now.

I am planning to come to UK first as I got the job, and my spouse will come later (after 3-4 months). Is it possible that the dependent come fist to UK?
