About me - Indian Citizen. University Student. Living in the UK since 4 years. Have obtained Schengen Visa previously by france for a week in 2006.
My Situation - Last min plan to visit a friend for 6 days. I leave on Thursday (20th march) and that leaves me with 3 working days to apply for a Visa.
Documents I have - Letter from University, Bank Statements, Return Air tickets (but they are from Eindhoven and I will take a train from there to Brussels but I dont have train tickets to show), Passport, Health Insurance (valid only during my period of travel)
Documents I am doubtful about - I have booked hostels by paying 10% of the deposit to them but since I am staying with a friend, I thought I will cancel it once I obtain a Visa (this was suggested by someone over the forum earlier).
another option was to get the whole list of documents from my friend (which is a looot of trouble and headache) but he has everything except a form from the townhall, which he can only get on monday so I can only apply on tuesday (my flight is early thursday morning).
What I know about the Belgium Embassy - They don't require appointments so I could just land up on monday morning and apply. They said they process application within 48 hours.
My Question - Is it too late to apply? If I apply on Monday or Tuesday?
If not, will they accept my partial hotel bookings?(then I can apply on monday)
Is it ok that I am landing in Eindhoven (does that sound dodgy? I really have no intentions of staying in netherlands. I want to go to Belgium)
and is tuesday too late a date to apply? I will by then (hopefully) have all the right documents with me.
On what basis can they reject my Visa, if they do, considering my situation and information I have provided you.
Any help/suggestions/advice/sharing experiences with the belgium embassy will be truly appriciated.
Many Thanks.
