Only one year CoS & one year visa for a permanent job!

Post by beingpeace » Mon Sep 25, 2017 4:32 pm

Dear All,
I have been employed by an NHS hospital on a permanent job, but the certificate of sponsorship provided, is only for a year. Apparently this is due to the immigration surcharge that the employer has to pay each year. Is this normal for such a situation. Furthermore I have been granted a visa only for a year. Does that mean I will have to keep extending my visa each year and keep paying the visa fees annually? Please guide..

Regards

It is normal, particularly for NHS to do this.
Yes you will have to pay the visa fee every time u apply.
Way around it, look for other NHS organisation and ask them for a longer cos before u make a change.
