applying for irish work visa while working abroad in US

applying for irish work visa while working abroad in US

HEy all, Im currently in vail colorado USA on a working Visa which in two months expires, which i would then love to go to ireland and work for a few months or so!! but im having alot of trouble applying and finding info on getting a irish working visa :? , People have told me i can only apply and do this from my own home country (New Zealand) but i figure there must be a way of doing this from america?? any help or info would be much appreciated, cheers from myles bartlett

You can do things from anywhere, but I suspect you must have a job offer first, i.e. you need a sponsor in Ireland.

the website for the govt dept dealing with working visas and permits is
www.entemp.ie
there are basically two types of permits 1)Work permit - for which the employer applies for, slightly more difficult to get.
2) Working Visa / authorisation - for this you will need a job offer in a designated profession as according to the list on the site

i think you can apply directly at the Irish embassy in the US
