14 year ILR - HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post by noush » Thu Mar 20, 2008 7:37 pm

hi please can you tell me what is likely to happen if i am unable to provide documentary evidence for the first 6 months of my arrival to the UK legally.
I came in march 94 and made my application for asylum at the HO in sept 94. I did not claim benefits or have a bank account and did not register with a gp until some months later....i have only provided documents from may 95 - thats the first time i ever had anything in MY name eg. a bank statement...i have sent a letter from my landlord confirming that I have been a tenant since april 1994 but do you know what is likely to happen since i simply have NO DOCUMENTARY evidence of the first 6 months here.

Thanks a lot.[/b]

How did you enter the UK? Airplane stub, ticket from anywhere?

entered legally by pane ...have my passport stamp but thats it. I have tried to get proof from the college that i studied at that i was with them throughout 1994 but they wrote back to me saying they did not keep records that go that far back. I also have a letter from my GP who confirmed i was with them in 1994. i have enclosed both these letters with my application but am just worried that they will want more documentary evidence that i just dont have...

thank you.

I think that should be alright, if you provided the passport and/or plane stub.

That's true. You have to check everything before applying...

Noush, have you already submitted your application?

Hi sakura, yes i have submitted the application. they are really asking for blood out of a stone so i had no choice. as for the removal notice....i was advised that IF one was served they would have sent it to my home address and they would not have just have forgotten about it - they wouldhave tracked me down....as far as i am aware no removal notice was served. i have requested my file from the Home Office several times but they just say #no record under that number#
