guidance required please

I have sponsored my mother last year march, and she has overstayed means she is still in the UK since 1 year.
Can i sponsor my father-in-law who wants to visit uk and leave within 2-3 weeks.

Will i get traced to sponsored as a overstayed visitor and will get visa refused ? or i can sponsor my father in law on that base that vfs are not checking history of sponsor's previous visitor's come back..

Please can some one advise on these?
