ILR Second Application

Hi
I have been in the UK since dec 2000, I applied for ILR in 2004 but it was rejected since i had been away from the UK in 2002 between Apr-Nov on company deputation.
Assuming that is considered a break from residence, Does my qualifying period start in Nov 2002?
If so should I now be able to apply to ILR, as i would have completed 5 yrs in Nov 2007 ? there haven't been any more long breaks since then.
I also changed my employment in 2005 will that be an issue?

Appreciate any advice
