greets all in the forum like archigabe and others,i previously posted here concerning EU1 application refusal.I finally received my REfugee status and my gnib card after 6 years of going through courts and judicial review,so i m not in need of eu1 anymore even tho i sent my complaints to eu commission siobhan in dublin and Frattini in brussels, but didnt do much still thanks for the advice i received here.
NOw my question is concerning the issuing of travel documents by the department of justice(yeahh still them),one of the guys at the burgh quay office told me that it takes 3 to 4 months for me too receive my convention travel document but on the application form it says it takes 3 to 4 weeks.Plus the guy at burgh quay told me that the only way to get it in less then 3 months is if i present a proof of an emergency like a family death to attend to.
Does anyone knows why it takes 3 to 4 months to get a travel document from the dept of justice and if anybody has ever received an emergency travel document and what reason and proof of emergency did they use ,also if there is anything else i can do through solicitors in order get this document faster.
Please understand the frustration i first had to go through 6 years of refugee tribunal then winning 2 judicial review because people in refugge tribunal and dept of justice were not applying the law correctly, now they give me refugee status but have to wait 4 months for a travel document that will only be valid for 1 year, maybe its just me who thinks this is mad, please anyone with info or links to info please help because i have been through the net and nothing much is said about this issue.
Thanks to everyone on this board its a major source of accurate info more accurate then any irish govt website or even this people at gnib burgh quay.
thanks
