Stamp 4 separation query

Post by dgo50 » Sat Mar 01, 2008 11:28 pm

Hello all

I have a query regarding my girlfriend who is a Non-EU national and has been living in Ireland since marrying an Irishman in 2004. She has also been working for the last three years. She separated about half a year ago and we recently got together (I am from the UK) and I am wondering what the situation is regarding separation and having stamp 4 on the GNIB card. Will the authorities revoke the stamp 4 as a result of separation? Or is the stamp 4 valid until divorce?
I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me.

Thanks.

no they wont revoke it.......... but you must contact the GNIB & Dept of Justice and inform them of your change in status. they will then instruct you in what to do
