2 Year Work Visa to Austalia from US

Hello,
I have the opportunity to work in Sydney for 2 years if I can get a VISA accepted. I have a felony DUI from 7 years ago, as well as 2 previous DUI's from 10 years ago. Since I have proven to Virginia and USA that I have rehabilitated and since quit drinking.

My question is do I even have a chance at passing a Character Test in the Visa process, when I fill out the forms I am going to have a lawyer fill them out based on my criminal background check.

This is for a skilled position, I have a degree, married, and many character references if needed.

Please advise if I should not even try or what my chances are.

Thanks, but I see that they run a background check for 10 years back, and I plan to be totally honest on my application if it asks.

I was hoping someone had heard of similar situations
