Dear All,

My current status in Uk is on Work permit and it is valid till 2013, which was offered by my excompany on Feb 08.

i lost the job on the same month,due buisness losses facing by my ex company. Worked 6months with my excompany.

i contact the lawyer in this regard n they advice me to apply for hsmp.

i applied by post (HSMP1) under new skim from UK. Excatly after 1 month. but later i came to here that i have to apply or transfer my WP within 28 days.
so any body can guide me in this regard...

1)do i need to worry ?as it was only the matter of 1 day. applied on 29day through post.

2)did HO will cross check the dates? as i haven't discribe any think about my this new job in my application HSMP 1. Im claiming the salary points through different company.

They tend not to check if your WP has been cancelled; most likely you will not face major problems. It is up to the case worker and up to the documentation you presented. You broke the terms of your visa and stayed illegaly (for one day), most likely you wouldn't have a problem.

Try and read about the legislation and prepare yourself for the coming changes. Lawyers tend not to provide the best advise (I apologize to any lawyers on the board who may feel otherwise), however if you know the legislation you would be able to get better advise from them.

Can we just check this please. You ceased working for your ex-employer, when? You applied for new visa? When exactly was the application posted?

i recieved my WP through my Comapny lawyer on feb 25. and i left the job on feb 15. i applied for HSMP 1 on march 15.

this are the dates.

Sorry to press you, what happened on 15th March? You posted the application? Or it was received at BIA on that date?

Do you mean Tier 1 (General)? Or did you post HSMP1 form?

I POSTED ON THAT DAY, IT IS SATURDAY MARCH 15 AND BIA RECIVED ON MONDAY i e ON 17 MARCH. GOT THE REF NUMBER ON 19MARCH.
