Tier 1 Application

Post by ashishashah » Wed Apr 09, 2008 12:20 pm

I am in UK on a HSMP visa along with my wife(who is on HSMP dependent visa)..I got my initial approval for HSMP in Nov 2006 and my HSMP visa runs till Nov 2008..So now I will be applying for FLR under TIER 1 scheme…

The situation is :My wife has gone to India for the delivery of our first child …She and the infant would be returning to UK in Oct 2008…I would like to apply for FLR for a)My self b)My wife and c)Infant (who will be born in June 2008)..The problem is that my wife and the infant will be in India when I will be applying for FLR in Sep 2008..

So can any one guide me how to go about applying for Tier 1 Dependents Visa for my wife and Infant??Can I submit their passports along with my Tier 1 application??They can send their passports to UK .What would you suggest??

Any help in this matter will be highly appreciated…

Ashish

I am not sure but I don’t think the passport can be sent out of the country by post. So if you apply in UK and you family is in India it might become illegal.

May be some senior members could comment on this.

sending passport in post is illegal. Dont take that risk.

Best option would be to apply for their FLR separately from india

Sending passport by post is illegal. For arugements sake, suppose you get the passport here in the UK, then how you would prove their entry into the UK? Because they would have last entry stamp into India but not back in the UK.

Best option is that your wife should aply FLR and your infaint should apply EC from India.
