NEW FRAUD..WARNING!!!!!

All,

Please inform all your friends about a new scam..
You will get an appointment letter (in very poor grammer and loud colours)that
you have been offered a job in one of the MNCs(in my friends case it was telecom Compnay )..

Fortunatley my friend forwared the letter to me and i could make out that it was fraud.
(Salry per month was 7500 GBP!!!!!!) and height he he was never called for job interview...
It was smart in the sense that it had genuine telecom Compnay post address, but he was told to contact
a travel agent and pay some money(obviously) for WP..

Please inform all your friends that if they get such a "Job offer letter" ,please
delete that mail..The company name cane be ANY BIG MNC ..

Travel agent name should be the key here for netting the fraudulants

"Fraud" is a pretty serious charge. While it seems it may be true in this case, I urge members to be careful how they use legal vocabulary.

In this case, I'm quite happy that names were not posted ... this opens us up to liability for defamation and other legal actions.

If a member wishes to post a warning about 'dodgy-looking activities' by some organization, you are welcome to do so. I consider it a critical resource for our members to protect themselves. If you want to provide the names or identifying information on the organization, please choose words to describe their actions that does not have direct legal meaning.


BUT ... posting the names of organizations and accusing them of fraud or other illegal actions needs to be done with exceptional care.

If you feel an organization is engaged in outright illegal actions, I suggest providing the information to legal authorities with a complaint requesting investigation and action. Local immigration authorities may very well be interested in the information, also.

Well..It was found out that the travel agent basedwas not based locally (in UK)..Some ppl. (who have already been conned) found out that the address of the person was wrong and the tel was re-directed to Nigeria....And surprise, it has happened to lot of ppl.(some of them even got this letter by post!!!!) and some by E mail.
So i think now it is pretty clear that this is like "lottery" system fraud..
