IM visit to New Delhi

The Independent Monitor will visit the entry clearance issuing post in New Delhi next June. I know this board has a population with concerns for this region, hence this posting.

If you believe there are issues about the operation in New Delhi that should be addressed or there is something about the operation that she should drill down on, you are invited to let me know.

Note that the IM cannot take up individual casework, or anything that involves a particular individual. She focuses solely upon entry clearance refusals for which there is no right of appeal. She cannot take up anything outside this remit.

Is the refusal rate in Delhi quite high then and are their judgements a little erratic?

I will be applying from Kathmandu for my fiancees visa but understand it gets sent to Delhi for a decision.

I'll let you know how it goes and fingers crossed I get a competant member of staff in a good mood - Hopefully Glenn McGrath can bowl Delhi to 20-20 glory and all staff are in such a cricket frenzy that they are stamping documents with both hands!!
