I was born on 25th of January 1988 in Yugoslavia, to British father (born in 1955 in the UK) and Yugoslav mother. My father is a British citizen otherwise than by descent, and has legally acknoledged parenthood in my country.
If I'm not mistaken, I'm not British by descent because my parents weren't married.
I was wondering are there any benefits at all regarding aquiring citizenship for being a child to a British citizen otherwise than by descent (for example, shorter required legal residence period for applying for citizenship)?
Thank you.
