Anybody in this thread who has applied for Tier1 via transitional arrangement s from UK and got the passports back ? This is for those applicants who had HSMP approval letter while applying for Tier1 visa.

I applied on 7th-Mar, but still no news from BIA/HO regarding my passports . Today is 37th day after my application was received by BIA

One doubt: I'm not sure whether it is possible to fill the Tier 1 application form in PC? or has to be filled in hand written. It is good to have doc/pdf which can be filled in pc.

1. I need help seniors. I am on HSMP which expires on 12/06/2008. My documents for extension under Tier1 are all ready. When should I send my application. I want to make sure that i dont have to apply for another extension for ILR after 3 years. I mean i dont want to find myself short by few weeks for ILR in future. (AS LONG AS IT REMAINS 5 YEARS).

2. In the form it ask about the visa on which I came first to uk.
I came to UK on working holiday maker and then switched onto HSMP 2 years ago. So i need to fill in WHM Visa details, rite?

I called up HO today and after enquiring on my ref no. the person told me that my application is waiting in queue to be assigned to a case worker. So looks like its going to take couple of more weeks for sure. Check with them on your status and let me know.
