Customs and immigration at London vs. Glasgow

Hi,

I plan to move to the Glasgow(Scotland) in May. I have the following flight options by British Airways:

Option I: India to London(Heathrow) + London (Gatwick) to Glasgow

Option II: India to London(Heathrow) + London (Heathrow) to Glasgow

In the above two cases which will be my point of entry from the customs and immigration perspective?

In both case London Heathrow.
Why not use Emirates and land in Glasgow directly via dubai as i use them all the time.....and they are cheaper and better service as well!!!

I have few more questions, i hope I am not bothering you too much.

Is immigration quicker/easier at Glasgow as compared to that in London?

I see that most airlines allow at the most 25-30 Kg check-in luggage. Since I am moving there for a long time I will definitely end up with more luggage than this. Please can you advise what could be the cheapest way to get my excess stuff there?
