Hello
Could I please ask you to help me with my refusal case, I studied in UK for 5 years and returned to my country within my visa time limit. I have applied for a business visit visa in Jan 2008 and got refused as I haven’t supplied any Prove about my family and business (except a business bank statement and Tax certificate). I again applied with Complete details (Utility bills, tax documents and other legal papers) along with prove of funds and regular personal income but they have now rejected me saying that I have not provided any proves about what I was doing in UK for 5 years and no evidence of my studies with my application. The ECO stated that “ You have extended your stay through LTR but not provided any account of your activities in UKâ€

Well, what evidence of "reason to return" did you provide? In the absence of such evidence it is likely that an application for a visitor visa would be rejected.
The fact that you have lived in the UK for so many years will only heighten the suspicion of the ECO looking at the application. So, and yes I know it is a blunt question, how are you going to convince an ECO that you will leave the UK after your business visit?

Thanks for your reply John, Please see my reasons to leave uk within my time limit.
1. The market segment/customers are local while my suppliers are in UK so there is no use for me to leave my running business and work illegally in UK. 2. I have showed my business bank statement which shows a regular income coming, all proves of funds have been supplied which shows my financial ties with my country. Also I am working as a mean for my UK suppliers to generate huge funds from Local market and in fact I am contributing in UK Economy while sitting in my country.
3: I was travelling alone and my wife and three years old son was behind. 4:My wife's pay slip (from a government organization showing her wages which is above normal salary in my country) this also shows that not only me but my spouse is also having financial ties within our country. 5. I have left UK within my time limit and have never claimed asylum or WP/HSMP/IGS as I have no charm in living in UK after studies. 5. My visit sponsors were calling me only to discuss future plans and they were ready to spend more on marketing in my local market, so this shows a possible future growth for my business.
So ALL Family, Financial and Social Ties have been declared with all original documentary proves but finally got rejected for only 15days visit.

Apply again covering all the objections with extensive documentation beside an elaborate covering letter apart from fully using page meant for additional information in visa form.
Usually that page is left blank whereas it is most important submission in support of application/intentions.

Appeal would be primarily under immigration rules, however, human rights ground can also be included as an alternate/last resort.

Human Rights for a visitor visa - that is one way to get the ECO to say go forth and multiply!
Stay away from HR as that will put the idea of staying in the UK firmly in the arena. Your HR claim would be extermely weak and would be seen as a poor attempt at getting into the country under any circumstances. This would stand against you if / when you try to enter in the future.
Have you got any documents from your suppliers about the proposed visit and what you will be doing etc etc. That would be helpful especially if they came from a recognised UK (large) business.

Frontier Mole I agree. I am struggling to think of any circumstance where someone has a Human Right to "merely" visit someone.

Many thanks for your kind advise, I have supplied along with my application two "letters of invitation" describing the purpose of visit from two different organisations. These two organisations are high ranked UK Universities for whom I am working in my coutry. I have also included the bank transactions from these Universities to show my business and to prove my ecnomical ties with my country.
