Seperated and my visa Expires soon

Post by leila28 » Tue Apr 29, 2008 6:02 pm

I'm married to a EEU citizen who is resident in uk. Married 5 years ago in london and we've been living in uk for more than 2 years toghether. recently i found out that he cheated on me(5 month ago) so i left him and living with my relatives at the moment. i was granted 2 years spouse visa which will be expires in less than 2 month. Questions:

1.Do i need to inform the home office that we are seperated?
2.My visa expires in less than 2 month can i extend it as we are seperated now/what form?
3.do i need to go back to my country if i get divorce?

Many thanks in advance

Yes you should as a responsible foreign citizen in this country.

Seek Immigration advice, but the rule is to apply for a new visa, you have to go back to your home country.

3.do i need to go back to my country if i get divorce?

No, but you'll have to apply for any new Visa from there.

Many thanks in advance
Hey Leila,
Where are you originally from?

And how educated are you? As you could apply for a HSMP Visa, when you go back to your country of origin.

I think you need professional advice, time to call in the A-Team...sorry I mean an Immigration Advisor.

Just make sure the one you speak to is regulated.

Good luck!
