Tier 2 salary change

Post by tip » Wed Jun 20, 2018 12:20 am

Hi there,

My salary has changed from when I first applied for Tier 2. The change occurred as the salary started on the Tier 2 CoS was incorrect, and had to be modified twice to ensure I was on the correct pay scale. I have also since been given an additional allowance for an added role.

My question is - will these changes affect a Tier 2 extension application in any way?

Thanks,
Tip

Would be super appreciative for any feedback from an expert; just trying to not stress out about this.

Thanks,

I am assuming these were increase in salary.
It should not be a problem but changes in salary should normally be reported by the employer in the SMS

Thank you. Yes, they were salary increases. Is it still ok for the employer to add these increases in despite not having done it within 10 days? I understand they may get told off; just want to know if itll affect the final application itself. Thanks, again.

Sorry follow up question - if the SoC code is showing a salary of up to a certain amount, say £38,000 and I’m getting 2-3K more than that due to annual salary changes, will this affect the application?

Appreciate the help.

Same answer. It will not if it is updated well in time. Changes closer to the extension/ILR would be considered suspect so the earlier changes are reported the better

Thanks. Does it look suspicious even if it’s an expected annual increase? Alternatively, can the sponsor add a note saying that they’d forgotten to update the salary in SMS, to avoid it looking suspicious?

Thanks, appreciate your time.

Not really - especially as it is well above the required salary levels. Should not really be a problem
