the record of the visa stamp!!!!!

Post by ricky » Fri May 02, 2008 12:01 am

is this true ?????
i know someone his lawyer told him when he asked him if to be honest with immigration officer about his date of entry and visa details : the lawyer answered :any visa stamps dated before 2002 don t have no record !!!!!!
this guy entered uk through northern ireland 99, his lawyer told him no record of him or his visa which was issued there in northern ireland home office !!!!!!he could say he came in 2001

we don t know who to beleive one lawyer says something an other says something else ,
   #
apparently being an overstayer for longer time is really bad  :cry:taking a few years sounds better

It is not worth it. If found out, or even found out in the future, the consequences can be dire.

It's a good idea to request the SAR records to see if they support the Long Residence requirements.

Long residency - 10 years legal - 14 years illegal. 1999 does not stack up in any event.

From 1998 the system logged a fair number of visa entries, from about 2001 nearly everything is logged. Even so the visa number corresponds to an issue batch so it does not take much to work out when the batch was issued.

If you go for your records from HO it is as good as saying come and get me. If nothing shows up for entry you will have to prove you came here legally.
