Tourist Visa

Post by rsouza10 » Wed May 07, 2008 12:57 am

I´m from Brazil and I lived in London from 2002 to 2004 with a student visa. When left London, I left some bills (Credit Card, Overdraft) behind, I didn´t pay them. I want to go to London in 2 months to visit my friends, and stay for 3 weeks as a tourist. I´d like to know if I´m goinng to have troubles with immigration at the airport for not have paid these bills.

Thanks,

Rafael

I doubt that the immigration officers would have access to that kind of information, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I agree you will not have a problem at the port of entry. This type of information is not held on the system. It is a commercial transaction between you and the bank / credit card company and of no interest to UKBA.

I hope they get access to this info and make you pay....you will probably take out another credit card and spend some more at our expense no doubt!

This really annoys me.

An overseas student in Manchester racked up £40,000 worth of sales on various credit cards - and then disapperared back home,.

Thats theft. Thats criminal. Pay up - or go to jail!!!

Thanks for your help. I just would like to say, that it´s not 4,000 but 900 pounds. I hope you never have any financial problem, so you can always pay your bills, but if one day you see yourself without money and unable to pay your debts, you won´t be a thief, just somebody facing problems like a lot of people.

I live in the UK - I always have financial problems!

Did you buy your ticket on the credit card? Will you buy your next ticket on a credit card?

Then run back home crying 'financial hardship'

You make me sick pal - you are a CRIMINAL!

Is it a criminal court? Are you guys a judge? I´ve just made one question, I don´t need your assesment for what I´ve done, it concerns to me not to you.

Anyway, thanks for your help.
