As an incountry applicant, you have 6 months from the date of HSMP approval to apply for FLR(IED). If you dont switch within 6 months then the your HSMP approval is null and void. Also note that you cannot work for anyone else other than your WP employer until you apply for FLRQ1: Is it legal to apply to HSMP and dont apply to FLR ?
No you cannot change jobs automatically.Q2: In during HSMP application processing - am I allowed to change job? Or should job offer arrive - I can fax it to HO with urgent treatment request (mean - spead up HSMP process rather than apply to another WP in parallel to HSMP?)
I had written a cover letter explainng I graduating from a collge where the meduim of instruction is english. I also asked my current employer to give me a reference letter which states apart from my job profile, that I am profficent in english.Q3: English language evidence: can 3 years of work to be evidence? I dont have any certifications actually...
Thanx a lot for your answers... Can I ask you to explain the quoted thing - do you mean - until I sorted out my FLR connected to approved HSMP - HO still count my status as WP ?mwazir wrote:Also note that you cannot work for anyone else other than your WP employer until you apply for FLR
As mwazir said, if you do not apply for FLR within 6 months of HSMP approval then you can continue with your present employer (only) on the basis of your WP. If you change jobs with another WP then you will have to get another FLR which will be dependent on the length of the contract (correct me if I am wrong).Thanx a lot for your answers... Send your job offer for urgent treatment of HSMP application and when you get your approval send a request for urgent processing of FLR for travel reasons.P.S. and LR applications take 20 weeks... No holidays, no urgent flights to customers abroad nothing... How would I carry my duties in case my customer in Holland and I am going to need to live country for a week or so. :S
Does that mean - I can work under HSMP (without any restrictions) up to 6 months, then apply to FLR ? (the reason I am asking - I need to travel soon and my wife is forcing me to get a holiday in April - I can apply on HSMP then have a holiday and once it approved - get a new job and fly to customer abroad and then apply on FLR)hk_007 wrote: As mwazir said, if you do not apply for FLR within 6 months of HSMP approval then you can continue with your present employer (only) on the basis of your WP.
Do you really hear - it is works ? I thought - they will return you a passport and stop the whole case. When you return back - they will start again.... Am I wrong ?send a request for urgent processing of FLR for travel reasons.
Even if your HSMP is approved you are free continue to work for your present employer and never take up HSMP status. However, until your FLR based on HSMP is approved you cannot use the benefits of working under HSMP rules. You can work only under the WP rules. So to answer your question, you cannot take up unrestricted work till your HSMP based FLR is approved.maxima wrote:Does that mean - I can work under HSMP (without any restrictions) up to 6 months, then apply to FLR ? Alternatively, you can apply for FLR and then apply for urgent treatment based on pre-booked holidays (you will have to send proof). In this case if HO thinks that the case is valid, then your passport with FLR stamp will be returned to you.Do you really hear - it is works ? You will still need to be employed by the same company when you go for your holidays. Therefore, you are legally allowed to enter the country to continue with your employment. And if asked you can honestly say that.I think by the way - if I will travel after HSMP approved with old WP LR I can have problem on arrival airport - I think computer will clear old company where I was working and show HSMP approval. And immigration officer will look for LR stamped for HSMP - not sure - are the stamps different ??
