CoS start date - urgent!!!!

Hello,

I'm currently in a panic about not being able to book my biometrics appointment in time to have it processed before my CoS start date. Here are the details:

Have yet to submit application, will be doing today
Bank holiday in Canada on Monday 6th
Paying Priority Service for visa decision (usually 5 days processing time?)
Start date on CoS is August 16th

What happens if I don't get back to work for the 16th? Can I still amend the CoS start date after I've applied? Can it be done before? It's already been done once, can I do it again? The gov website isn't allowing any CoS edits for some reason.

Don't panic! You don't have to apply before the Start Date on the CoS. Your CoS is valid for 3 months from the assigning date and you can apply after the start date on the CoS. The start date is a reference date for the home office.
