Enrty Clearance - time line

Post by hsmp79 » Mon May 12, 2008 7:26 am

Hi,

I got HSMP approval in November - 2007. Got EC in Feb - 2008.

And I am from India.

Is there any time line before which, I should enter UK.

Or, I can enter UK any time provided, I could satisfy the criteria for ILR.

Thank for your reply.

Ramesh.

From a legal perspective, you can enter UK anytime until the expiry of your visa. But your ILR clock will start from the day you enter UK and not from the day the visa is issued.

And before you get to the ILR stage, you will need to extend your leave to remain in the UK. For that you will have to satisfy Tier 1 extension criteria (come to UK, get a job, income etc.) .. so you should focus on that right now.
