Do I need a Visa for Switzerland.

Hi i am a NON EU haveing stamp 4 Working in Dublin . My Wife is NON EU Stamp 3 we want to visit Switzerland for a week . Somebody told me you dont need visa for switzerland you can use your GNIB is this correct or do we need to apply for a Visa ?

Have you looked at this page, which can also be accessed via the website of the Swiss Embassy in Dublin? It shows Irish residence permits that exempt the holder form needing a visa to visit Switzerland for short stays, regardless of the nationality of the holder, as well as giving some additional information.

It's also worth checking the list of nationalities to make sure whether you need a visa in any case.

Please note Switzerland will be joining the Schengen states in November 08. After November british visas would not qualify for entry to Switzerland if they need a visa for the schengen states.
