Residential requirements - 90 days rule

Hi everyone! My first post here and this is my question.
On 1st of July this year it'll be 5 years I'm in UK and I've had an ILR for more than a year. During the last 12 months of that 5year period(1st July 2007 - 1st July 2008) I've been absent from UK for about 3 month - allowed period in order to qualify for naturalization is 90 days. I'm not sure how they count these 90 days - is it FULL 90 days not including the travel dates?

Here's when I travelled from and to UK
2007: 06 Aug - 10 Oct
2008: 22 Feb - 19 Mar

Do I meet the 90-day residential requirement on 1st July, which allows me to apply for naturalization?

Am a bit confused ! You say you would be completing 5 years of your stay in UK on 1st July 2008 and you have had ILR for more than a year !!!

Now, if my calculation is right you first came to UK on say 1st July 2003, in which case you would become eligible for ILR on or after 3rd June 2008 (28 days before your end of 5 year stay) only.
How come you still say you have ILR for more than a year ?

Unless you were on a spouse visa as a spouse of an EEA national/British citizen.

You should read the application form and booklet for naturalization!

You count the number of full days out of the country. You do NOT include the day you leave or the day you come back.

So if you leave for a visit to France on Saturday and come back on Sunday that is ZERO days. If you come back instead on Monday, that is ONE day.
