Spouse Visa Financial Support

Post by Serenity » Mon May 19, 2008 2:43 am

My husband is a british citizen and I am a US citizen and will be applying for a settlement visa soon. I was looking over the evidence and document requirements one last time to double check that I have everything prepared. My question is, in terms of financial support on my husbands end is showing proof of a stable income fine or do we both need to have a decent amount in savings? Our plan was to apply soon, but I am worried about getting denied for barely having savings even though we should easily be fine until I can find a job over there.

 Serenity, I will say that the most important thing is to show you have stable income not savings. What good is savings? You could spend all your savings in one day, where as stable income is guaranteed money on a weekly or monthly basis.
