Urgent! Please, please help me with my Canadian application

Dear everyone

I am a newcomer in this immigrationboard and I need you, the senior people's suggestions and help.

I am preparing the documents for application of permanent residence as a skilled worker in Canada Visa Office (London). I have several questions really need your help and advice.

1. Education Proof

I (as a principle applicant) have a PhD degree from UK (there is no transcript for UK education), a MSc & BSc from P.R.China. I have completed 21 years of study.

According to Visa Office Specific Instructions(London), it seems I need to submit all of the transcripts of each degree (MSc & BSc). I just wonder whether I could just submit the three degree (diploma) certificates without transcripts, owing to I don't have any transcripts with me in hand at the moment and I am in the UK, it is going to be a bit difficult for me to get the transcripts from China. :(

2. Work Experience proof

According to the Instruction, it seems that the principle applicant's spouse also need to submit Employment Contract & Employer's Reference letter (with company's official seal). In China people who had permanent job (such as lecturer etc) in the universities or colleges usually didn't have any Employment Contracts.

My spouse was employed as a lecturer in a military academy before he retired and then came to the UK. It is impossible for a military academy in China to put an official seal on the reference letter or even use its letterhead paper with the address on. :cry:

From my point of view, it is not really necessary for my spouse (as a non principle applicant) to submit employment contract and employer reference letter. I don't know why Canadian Visa Office demand it?

I don't know what to do? :?

3. Do I have to submit the completed Self-Assessment Worksheet?

I would really appreciate if you could give me some advice. :lol:

Best wishes, Maple Leaf :shock:

I can see three ways of dealing with such issues, which can be combined if necessary:

1) do your best to provide as much required supporting material as possible; it also helps to go through the motions of asking for such even if you know it's impossible (as long as it's not dangerous) - perhaps you'll get a written refusal in response;

2) connect with the Embassy and explain that some of the items they ask for are difficult / impossible to provide and ask for a written waiver (e.g., via e-mail);

3) submit your aplication with all you've got and explain why certain required items are missing, attaching any refusal notes or waivers or citations from PRC law, or anything you've got to corroborate your assertions.

Then hope for the best.

Good luck to you!
